Terms & Conditions

1. Services Provided

Home Reset provides practical home support services including organising, sorting, downsizing assistance and pre-move preparation.

We offer guidance and hands-on assistance; all final decisions regarding belongings remain with the client.

2. Initial Consultation

An initial home visit may be required before work begins. Any consultation fee will be agreed in advance and may be deducted from the first confirmed booking.

3. Bookings & Payment

  • Sessions must be booked in advance.
  • A deposit may be required to secure larger booking
  • Payment is due when the booking is confirmed.
  • Payment methods accepted: bank transfer /or cash 

For larger projects, staged payments may be arranged.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a 50% charge.
  • Same-day cancellations will be charged in full.

We understand that unexpected circumstances arise and will always aim to be reasonable.

5. Health & Safety

Home Reset reserves the right to decline or stop work if:

  • The environment poses a health or safety risk
  • There are hazardous materials present
  • There is aggressive or inappropriate behaviour

Heavy lifting beyond safe limits will not be undertaken.

6. Donations & Disposal

With the client’s consent, we may arrange donations or disposal of unwanted items.

Once items have been removed from the property with approval, Home Reset cannot be held responsible for their return.

Costs for skip hire or specialist disposal services are the responsibility of the client unless agreed otherwise.

7. Client Responsibility

Clients (or their appointed representative) must:

  • Be present during decision-making where possible
  • Inform us of any fragile or valuable items
  • Disclose any relevant access issues or restrictions

8. Confidentiality & Respect

All client information and personal circumstances will be treated with discretion and confidentiality.

We are committed to providing a respectful, non-judgemental service at all times.

9. Insurance

Home Reset holds appropriate public liability insurance.

10. Liability

While every care is taken, Home Reset cannot accept liability for

  • Pre-existing damage
  • Structural faults
  • Items discarded against advice

Liability is limited to the value of the service provided.

11. Agreement

By booking a service, the client confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
